ABOUT Hadramaut

Hadramaut is one of the provinces in the southern part of the Republic of Yemen, a province rich in Islamic civilization, and overflowing with knowledge. UNIVERSITY AL-AHGAFF

Al-Ahgaff is one of the universities located in the province of Hadramaut, the university was officially founded in 1994 by decree of the Minister of Education no. 5 / 1994 dated February 8, by leading scholars who pioneered l Allama Al Habib Abdullah bin Al Haddad Mufti Mahfudz Hadramaut province. Placed in the city “Tarim” which had always been known as the city of Sciences and Scholars’. University of Al-Ahgaff with the Faculty of sharia has been trying to maintain and incorporate the Salaf and Kholaf manhaj.

FACULTY tarbiyah (PRINCESS)

Located in the city of Mukalla. The student, armed with various Islamic sciences in accordance with the needs of time, thereby becoming the knowledgeable women sholihah high and broad-minded. THE CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION

The Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA) Graduate Fellowship at SMART, Singapore

The Singapore Ministry of Education has established 100 four-year fellowships for new doctoral students at NTU or NUS who will conduct their research at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology Centre (SMART Centre).

The establishment of this Fellowship Programme is intended to attract to NTU and NUS the best and most talented doctoral students from Singapore, the region, and beyond and educate them to be future leaders in science and technology for Singapore and beyond. The Fellowship will provide them with the opportunity to be involved in the strategic research programmes at the SMART Centre and provide them with the opportunity to be co-advised by an MIT faculty member. The student may spend up to six months doing research at MIT.

The SMA Graduate Fellowship at SMART provides:

* up to four years of full tuition fees at the student’s home university;
* a monthly stipend of S$3,200;
* a scholarly allowance of up to S$12,000 to help cover the expenses associated with a six month research residency at MIT;
* and co-supervision by an MIT and NTU/NUS faculty.

There is no bond associated with this fellowship.

* In order to be eligible for an SMA Graduate Fellowship, a student must:
* have graduated with an undergraduate degree with first class or second-upper (or equivalent);
* be an incoming new PhD student not currently matriculated;
* have a research interest that fits within one or more of the projects currently being carried out in SMART Interdisciplinary Research Group (IRG)s.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Scientific research in any of the research lines on applied mathematics established in the center:

* Partial Differential Equations, Numerics and Control (PDE)
* Multiphysics, Inversion and Petroleum (MIP)
* Network Design, Analysis and Optimization (NET)
* Calculus of Variations and Elasticity (CVE)
* Mathematical Biology (MB)

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor degree in a field related to Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or Computer Sciences;
* Good qualifications; and
* 2 reference or support letters.

STARTING DATE AND DURATION:

* Starting date will be agreed with the candidate; a tentative starting date is JUNE 1st 2010.
* 4 years. Position may revert in a Research Associate position, based on available funding and a positive evaluation.

GROSS YEARLY SALARY:
