Overview
The Sampoerna School of Business (SSB) creates a new direction for business education in Indonesia. It is an innovative model where the curriculum is based on the highest international standards involving local and international faculty. SSB’s facilities have been purpose built to deliver a new and different standard for teaching and learning in business education in Indonesia.
SSB’s curriculum has been designed to raise the level of student competencies in the early years of study, where students will experience the kind of decision making that is required in the real world of business. SSB’s graduates will be able to make sense of a constantly changing global business environment and they will be prepared and able to adapt to new careers and work across disciplines throughout their working lives.

The Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA) Graduate Fellowship at SMART, Singapore
The Singapore Ministry of Education has established 100 four-year fellowships for new doctoral students at NTU or NUS who will conduct their research at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology Centre (SMART Centre).
The establishment of this Fellowship Programme is intended to attract to NTU and NUS the best and most talented doctoral students from Singapore, the region, and beyond and educate them to be future leaders in science and technology for Singapore and beyond. The Fellowship will provide them with the opportunity to be involved in the strategic research programmes at the SMART Centre and provide them with the opportunity to be co-advised by an MIT faculty member. The student may spend up to six months doing research at MIT.
The SMA Graduate Fellowship at SMART provides:
* up to four years of full tuition fees at the student’s home university;
* a monthly stipend of S$3,200;
* a scholarly allowance of up to S$12,000 to help cover the expenses associated with a six month research residency at MIT;
* and co-supervision by an MIT and NTU/NUS faculty.
There is no bond associated with this fellowship.
* In order to be eligible for an SMA Graduate Fellowship, a student must:
* have graduated with an undergraduate degree with first class or second-upper (or equivalent);
* be an incoming new PhD student not currently matriculated;
* have a research interest that fits within one or more of the projects currently being carried out in SMART Interdisciplinary Research Group (IRG)s.

* Infectious Diseases (ID)

1 PHD RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP POSITION: GEOMETRIC NUMERICAL INTEGRATION IN APPLICATIONS (GeNuIn Applications)
The grant is a part of the project: GeNuIn Applications. See also http://wiki.math.ntnu.no/genuin
The successful applicants will work on numerical algorithms for problems with an underlying geometric structure, like for instance differential equations whose solution evolves on a manifold or admits a symmetry. Geometric structure often corresponds to concrete physical features of the model. Applications of interest are problems in engineering of marine control structures. Emphasis is given to both development and analysis of new and improved schemes for such problems. The position will start the 1st of August 2010.

Over 80 studentships are currently available for an October 2010 start.
Unless otherwise specified, the University studentships involve the following benefits for home/EU students:
- £6000 stipend per year for three years
- Exemption from payment of fees (current value – £3400)
